Your Story Doesn't End Here. Semicolon Ring
Did you know the semicolon means that the person wearing it has overcome some sort of hardship in their life. The semicolon has become a symbol of hope for people who have battled depression, anxiety, addiction, and other mental health issues.
After the loss of her father to suicide, Amy Bleuel started the semi-colon project. This project is an effort to destigmatize mental health. They chose the semicolon to symbolize the movement because ''a semicolon represents a sentence the author could've ended but chose not to.'' Many people have since gotten a semi-colon tattoo, frequently on their wrist, to spread awareness of the importance of taking care of your mental health and talking about suicide prevention.
